At this stage what is needed most is for the idea to catch on with Bible translation teams, and then we can work on what kinds of software to use to facilitate open source Bible translation. Personally, I would be happy with just something like an online database where the proposed translation wordings would be seen and then there would be room for comments. The main thing is for it to be "open" so more people can benefit from each other's input.Wayne Lemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18024771201561767893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11875966.post-1123370528056061542005-08-06T16:22:00.000-07:002005-08-06T16:22:00.000-07:00Bill Gates can't stop open source software or "ope...Bill Gates can't stop open source software or "open content" literature on Windows or any other platform. He can just refuse to release Windows, Office, and other Microsoft products as open source.

I know how to program web-based software well enough. Think about how your ideal collaborative translation interface would work. Maybe I could write, or help write, the software to facilitate it. I cant help you much with actual translation though. Let me know what you think up.Peter Kirbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16724603345241200742noreply@blogger.com
