The Translation of “My Name is Red”

You may be interested in a post on my own blog about Orhan Pamuk’s novel “My Name is Red” and how it has been translated into English. I wrote this mainly as a contribution to current discussions about Bible translation principles and Bible versions. Many of the same issues relate to translating novels like this, from a culture rather different from our western one, and the Bible.
