Welcome, Rich!

Let's welcome Dr. Richard Rhodes (I know him as Rich, but his wife calls him Richard) as the newest contributor to this blog. I have known Rich since at least 1975 when my wife, Elena, and I sat in a class of his on the Algonquian languages. At that time we were considering working with the Cheyenne language, one of the Algonquian languages and we wanted to get an introduction to that language family.

Rich and his wife, Mary, are longtime friends of ours. They have taught at several of the Summer Institute of Linguistics sessions at the University of North Dakota. Rich has been a professor of linguistics at the University of Michigan and the University of California at Berkeley where he has been teacing for many years.

Rich has a deep heart for God and his written Word. I think you'll easily sense that as he posts.
