This is generally a fair and excellent review, although I would want Collins to explain his point about Hebrews 2.
But Collins is not quite correct that ESV "is published by Crossway Bibles, ... which is not affiliated with any denomination or Bible society." Crossway is in fact associated with the Standard Bible Society. From its home page:
The Standard Bible Society (SBS) exists to reach the world with the Gospel and God’s Word through the distribution and promotion of the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible throughout the English-speaking world.
The SBS is a separate not-for-profit [IRS Sec. 501 (c) (3)] organization, growing out of the vision and mission of Good News Publishers/Crossway Books and Bibles, which is also a not-for-profit [IRS Sec. 501 (c) (3)] organization.
The SBS is also the owner of the ESV website, see http://www.gnpcb.org/page/news.2005.03.17.
Peter, it may be that the SBS was formed after Ken wrote his review of it. I know that the ESV was published before the SBS was created.
