Nice to see the HCSB back on the list even if it's because of the horridly designed Illustrated Study Bible. I would be interested to see more discussion of this translation on the BBB considering the passionate TNIV/ESV "debates" that flare up here and the number of other translations -- e.g. REB, HCSB, NRSV, NLTse -- that seem to take similar middle-ground approaches. Hopefully we are not decamping into ESV or TNIV "only" communities. Though as a fan of the NEB/REB, I'm used to being on the fringe... :)

Your wish is our command, sir! I'll try to post more about the HCSB. In the meantime, you might want to read the posts we already have put up about the HCSB:

You will also want to read our post titled Comparing the ESV and HCSB.

Also, as you can for any Blogger blog, type in a keyword (such as "HCSB") in the search window in the upper left of this blog, then click on "Search Blog."

Thank you, Wayne, for the links and article regarding the ESV comparison. I certainly did not mean to imply that BBB was ignoring the HCSB -- more that every review I've read seems to be quite positive on the translation, so I was curious why it doesn't seem to be part of the vernacular in the main section of this blog.
