Biblical thanksgiving
The Bible is full of expressions of thanks to God for his blessings. Here are some of them, translated to English (for which I am very thankful):
Thank the LORD God of Israel through all eternity!Happy Thanksgiving to each of our American blog visitors. And may all of us, regardless of our citizenship, thank God daily for how good he is to us.
Amen and amen! (Ps. 41:13 GW)
I will always thank you, God, for what you have done;
in the presence of your people
I will proclaim that you are good. (Ps. 52:9 TEV)
Enter the Temple gates with thanksgiving;
go into its courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise him. (Ps. 100:4 TEV)
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (1 Cor. 15:57 RSV, NRSV, ESV, NET, TEV, HCSB)
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Cor. 9:15 NIV, TNIV, NRSV, NET)
Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. (Phil. 4:6 CEV)

Blessings to you, Wayne and your family, (and everyone else) this day from our God and Savior.
Give thanks to the LORD because he is good, because his mercy endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods because his mercy endures forever. (Psalm 136:1-2 GW)
Rich
Blessed Thanksgiving to you!
I so appreciate your blog. It is one of the more "academic" blogs I frequent. I read it almost daily. I seldom leave comments, for I am not a qualified linguist. I do, however, teach the Word, and am learning a lot from you.
Blessings,
Iris
